How to proceed in arranging your wedding at Good Shepherd
RC Diocese of Southwark requires a couple to give six months' notice of the intention to marry.
This is usually not a problem as the wedding is planned well in advance.
The couple should approach the priest as soon as they make a decision to marry.
The priest will book their chosen date in the parish diary and make arrangements to meet with them for a series of instructions.
The priest will also provide
an application form for
the Diocesan Marriage Preparation course
which is obligatory
for all couples
who wish to marry in the Catholic Church.
Minimum age for marriage raised to 18 years of age.
