The work of forming Christian disciples and evangelisation is at the very heart of the mission of the Archdiocese of Southwark.
Our Archbishop, John Wilson, calls us to be an ‘Evangelising and Missionary Archdiocese’,
and it is the work of the Agency for Evangelisation and Catechesis to focus towards this end.
The main goal of the Agency is to support the parishes of the Archdiocese of Southwark
in terms of Evangelisation, Catechesis and Formation
and to encourage the development and formation of lay people in the diocese.
We are well aware that a tremendous amount of good work, in these three areas, is already being undertaken.
The role of the Agency, therefore, is to celebrate and share what is working,
and to assist parishes in their mission and to greater fruitfulness.
