2024 World Taekwondo Poomsae Championships, Hong Kong – China

A total of 33 athletes have been selected to represent Great Britain, hailing from 21 different clubs across the UK.

This is the largest team that British Taekwondo has ever assembled for a World Poomsae Championships,

reflecting the dedication and hard work of both the athletes and their clubs over the past few years.

The team boasts a good blend of seasoned, experienced competitors, including medallists from the 2023 European Championships

as well as previous World and European Championships,

alongside some exciting new talents who will be wearing GBR on their uniforms for the first time.

After nearly 12 months of solid Taekwondo Poomsae competitions across England (including the British National Championships this year, held in November 2024),

we are incredibly proud and delighted to inform you that Gabriel has won

his first major World Championships competition in the Recognised Poomsae Male Team Junior category, held at the Hong Kong Coliseum, in Hong Kong, China.

Gabriel and his team-mates officially became World Taekwondo Poomsae Championships Bronze Medallists

by beating Team India in the preliminaries,

Team Germany during the quarter finals, but sadly falling short against Team USA in the semi-finals

where it all went down to the wire, with Team GBR losing by the narrowest of margins (0.06).

Gabriel continues to inspire his peers in the GBR National Squad and our students fromWin Taekwondo Academy,

proving that great things come from hard work and perseverance.
